There was a sense of deja vu when, three hours later, the crew was called back to Te Puia to again assess, treat and transport to Gisborne a patient who was in a stable condition.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to Te Whare Hauora o Ngati Porou/Te Puia Springs Hospital for a medical event. Our Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to Waihau Bay for a medical event. Our onboard Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Tauranga Hospital. Both St John’s and Waihau Bay Fire Service on scene to assist.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was directed by the Rescue Co-ordination Centre to Te Urewera National Park in response to a Personal Locator Beacon activation. Our onboard Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who the crew then took in a stable condition back to their vehicle.
