After the Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to Ruatoria for a medical event, our on-board Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks to Ruatoria St John, who stabilised the patient and brought them to Whakarua Park for uplift.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to a trauma in Tikitiki, where our on-board Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks to the volunteer firefighters who bought our patient and their whanau support to George Nepia park to meet our paramedic.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter flew to Hicks Bay where our on-board Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated three patients who had suffered sports injuries. Two were flown in stable conditions to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks again to the St John’s Ruatoria team who were on scene to assist.
Upon returning from Tauranga, the Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was diverted to Te Teko for a trauma. Our on-board Critical Care Flight Paramedic stabilised the patient before they were taken for further treatment at Thames Hospital, from where Auckland’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew them to Starship Children’s Hospital.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to a trauma in Waihau Bay where our on-board Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Tauranga Hospital. Thanks to the awesome first-response crew from Waihau Bay, who treated the patient before we arrived.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter team had to pull out the night vision goggles for an early-hours flight to Te Whare Hauora o Ngati Porou/Te Puia Springs Hospital in response to a medical event. Upon landing, our on-board Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks again to the St John’s team who were on-scene to assist.
It was all hands on deck when the Trust Tairawhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to transfer a trauma patient from Gisborne to Whakatane Airport. There, they handed the patient over to the Tauranga Aerocool Rescue Helicopter team, who then completed the journey by flying them to Starship Hospital for further treatment. Teamwork!
