Called to Te Araroa for a medical event, low cloud meant the Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter crew needed to land in Tikitiki and wait for St John Ambulance to drive the patient to meet them. The patient was then flown to Whakatane Hospital in a stable condition.
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter crew was called to assist police searching for a vehicle in distress inland from Tolaga Bay. After an hour of searching we were stood down and returned to base.
Once the crew had cleared from Whakatane, they immediately responded to Waiotahe for a motor vehcile accident. Our Critical Care Flight Paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown to Waikato Hospital in a stable condition.

Our crew located a patient who had suffered traumatic injuries falling from a horse. They were stabilised by our Critical Care Flight Paramedic and transported to Gisborne Hospital.
