The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter had a busy week of eight call-outs – not including training missions — of which five were to the East Coast including a motor vehicle accident at Waipiro Bay (August 9, 09:48am), a medical event at Te Puia Springs (August 9, 12:57pm), a medical event at Te Araroa (August 10, 02:00am), a medical event at Ruatoria (August 12, 23:20pm) and a medical event at Hicks Bay (August 13,16:56pm). Other missions carried out by the team this week included responding to a trauma at Motu (August 11, 09:50am), a medical event at Mahia (August 12,14:00pm) and a medical event at Whakaki, south of Nuhaka (August 13, 06:30am).
The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to a motor vehicle accident at Hawai – east of Opotiki – where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient who was flown in a critical condition to Waikato Hospital. Thanks to.St John, Police and Fire services for on-scene support.
