The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter flew direct from Whakatane Hospital – where the team were handing over a patient – to a medical event at Te Whare Hauora o Ngati Porou/Te Puia Springs Hospital where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in stable condition to Gisborne Hospital.
