It was an early morning flight for the Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter when it responded to Hicks bay for a medical event. St John crews had taken the patient to Hicks Bay School, where they were assessed and treated by our on-board Critical Care Flight Paramedic before being flown in a stable condition to Whakatane Hospital.
