The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to a medical event in Awatere, inland from Te Araroa. There, our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient before they were flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks to St John Ruatoria for bringing the patient across the State Highway to our landing site.
