A medical event in Tokomaru Bay with the patient flown in a critical condition to Gisborne Hospital

The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter had a busy week of eight call-outs – not including training missions — of which five were to the East Coast including a motor vehicle accident at Waipiro Bay (August 9, 09:48am), a medical event at Te Puia Springs (August 9, 12:57pm), a medical event at Te Araroa (August 10, 02:00am), a medical event at Ruatoria (August 12, 23:20pm) and a medical event at Hicks Bay (August 13,16:56pm). Other missions carried out by the team this week included responding to a trauma at Motu (August 11, 09:50am), a medical event at Mahia (August 12,14:00pm) and a medical event at Whakaki, south of Nuhaka (August 13, 06:30am).

The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to a motor vehicle accident at Hawai – east of Opotiki – where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient who was flown in a critical condition to Waikato Hospital. Thanks to.St John, Police and Fire services for on-scene support.

The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to a trauma in Te Araroa, where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks to St John’s who were on-scene to assist.

The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter was called to a medical event at Tikitiki, where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks to St John for its support.

The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter again flew up the East Coast, this time for a medical event in Tokomaru Bay. Once the crew were on-scene, our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. And, again, thanks to St John for its support.

The Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to a medical event in Toatoa, where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Whakatāne Hospital.

After the Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to Waihau Bay for a medical event, our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated two patients, both being flown in stable conditions to Tauranga Hospital. Thanks to St John’s for their assistance.

Again heading up the East Coast, the Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter responded to a medical event in Ruatoria, where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital. Thanks Once more to St John’s for assisting on-scene.

Again responding to a medical event up the East Coast, the Trust Tairāwhiti Eastland Rescue Helicopter flew to Te Whare Hauora o Ngati Porou/Te Puia Springs Hospital where our on-board critical care flight paramedic assessed and treated the patient, who was flown in a stable condition to Gisborne Hospital.
